Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and filling holes and cracks - Apply paint and other finishes to various surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray guns - Mix and match paint colors according to specifications - Follow blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate painting and finishing - Repair and renovate surfaces as needed - Assist carpenters with tasks such as framing, drywall installation, and trim work - Weld or solder metal surfaces as required - Maintain a clean and organized work area Skills:
- Proficient in caulking to ensure proper sealing of surfaces - Ability to read blueprints and schematics to understand painting requirements - Knowledge of color theory to create harmonious color schemes - Basic math skills for measuring and estimating paint quantities - Experience as a maintenance person or in general construction work is a plus - Familiarity with construction estimating techniques is an advantage Note:
